World Fair Trade Day 2018,
Fun Walk Live Fair at Car Free Day
May is an important month for WFTO members because in that month there is a special day for Fair Trade movement that is World Fair Trade Day which is celebrated on every second Saturday in May. And in the year 2018 this celebration of World Trade Day fell on May 12, 2018.
As what we have last year, in the year 2018 Pekerti also involve in commemorating World Trade Day. Unlike last year, this time Pekerti together with several members of the Indonesian Fair Trade Forum (FFTI) ccelebrated World Trade Fair Day by holding a Fun Walk, Live Fair at Car Free Day (DFC) in Jakarta.
This Fun Walk activity was held at CFD on MH Thamrin street, Jakarta on May 13, 2018. Pekerti 
staff and some FFTI members walked from Bundaran Hotel Indonesia to National Monument (MONAS). Along the way the group carried banners and posters of Fair Trade”. This activity is intentionally done to promote the Fair Trade movement to the wider society. Housed in a routine event that is always crowded in a visit by the people of Jakarta, deliberately chosen for the sound of Fair Trade will be louder heard by many people.
Fun Walk is expected to be the beginning of the Fair Trade movement more grounded in Indonesia, Fair Trade is better known and understood by the community and certainly has a lot of contribution for the people and the State of Indonesia.
