Fair Trade & Organic Outlet was participated on Healthy Living Festival – Healthy Food & Recycle Your Waste, on July 29, 2012 in Lapangan Puputan Badung, one of public area in Denpasar.
This event was organized by Consortium Consumer Awareness Bali and a group called Denpasar Clean & Green, also attended by Denpasar’s Mayor.
Many competition was held inside, such as recycled product competition; painting competition; Talk Show, and many more. All of that focused on theme healthy food and recycling.
While joined the competition, the visitor also can see organic & friendly environmental products, such as organic food, Herbal products, seeds and seedling, and also fair trade craft. People also can change their waste into food product at “Bank Sampah” – (the name for called a place to collect the rubbish).
The visitors were mostly a family that usually came to Puputan in the weekend. Also many teenagers, housewife, woman group, and children were coming.
Hopefully this event can be do it regularly in different place to grow the awareness of healthy living style, especially for food and taking care the environment by doing 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).
