To enable sustainable economic growth for Indonesian SMEs and entrepreneurs with social and environmental responsibility in mind

To empower Indonesian SMEs to reach international standard quality by providing training, sharing information & skills

  • Provide continues training on Design, Business Management, Quality Control and other topics identified by the Members, Board and Management
  • Support the development of Indonesian designs by fostering collaboration between SME’s and national-international designers.
  • Support steady marketing potential by establishing sustainable production practices and quality-capacity-service programs.
  • Establish quality standards and create awareness about social and environmentally responsible material selection.
  • Introduce, and support the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility practices to SME’s.

  • We believe that there is value for BEDO to share what we learned with other BEDO members and the wider community of artisans & producers in Indonesia.
  • BEDO members choose to view market challenges as impetus for personal & business growth.
  • Continued education is a pathway to business sustainability & market success.
  • We support the ethics of Fair Trade so producers and artisans can be paid a fair living wage.
  • We support the use of local renewable resources; promote energy efficiency, sustainable production & consumption.

BEDO was an outcome of the EU Asia Invest project, named “EuroBali Export Network” It was initiated and managed by Christian Fritz (Mr.) representing the Kuta Small Business Association (KSBA),  in partnership with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the Milan Chamber of Commerce from 2004 – 2006. The aim of the project is to build capacity among local manufacturers to improve their export capabilities towards the European market after Bali Bombing in 2012 & 2014.
